Getting Started — your first day

1. Punch a tree. Hold left-click on an oak log until it breaks. Grab 3–4 logs.
2. Make planks & sticks. Press E — 1 log → 4 planks in the 2×2 grid. Stack 2 planks vertically → 4 sticks.
3. Craft a Crafting Table (4 planks) and place it — it opens the full 3×3 grid.
4. Wooden pickaxe (3 planks over 2 sticks), then mine stone → cobblestone.
5. Stone tools + furnace. Stone gear is twice as fast. 8 cobblestone in a ring → furnace.
6. Beat the clock. A full day lasts 10 minutes. When night falls, hostiles spawn — dig in, wall up, or craft a bed (3 wool + 3 planks) and sleep the night away.
7. Go deeper. Coal fuels your furnace, iron unlocks the best tools, and gold & diamonds wait near bedrock.

Controls

Blocks & Ores

Using the right tool matters: the wrong tool (or a too-low tier) mines up to 5× slower — and ores need a high-enough pickaxe to drop anything at all.

Tier ladder: fists → wood → stone → iron. Each pickaxe tier unlocks the next ore.

Crafting

Pocket crafting (E) gives a 2×2 grid. A placed Crafting Table opens 3×3 for tools, the furnace and the bed. Mirrored shapes work too.

Tool materials: Planks → Wooden · Cobblestone → Stone · Iron ingots → Iron. Speed 2× / 4× / 6×, durability 60 / 132 / 251.

Smelting

Place a furnace and right-click it. Top slot = input, bottom slot = fuel. Each item takes 8 seconds.

No coal yet? Smelt logs into charcoal using planks as fuel — wood pays for itself.

Mobs & Combat

Passive animals roam by day. When night falls, hostiles spawn around you (up to 8 at a time) — swords deal the most damage and knock enemies back.

Sword damage: Wooden 4 · Stone 5 · Iron 6. Or skip the fight entirely — sleep in a bed to jump straight to morning.

Food & Survival

• Health: 10 hearts. You regenerate when your food bar is well fed — eating is healing.
• Hunger: 10 drumsticks, drained by sprinting, jumping and fighting.
• Food: raw porkchop restores 1.5 drumsticks — cooked restores 4. Always smelt your pork.
• Water: bubbles appear when diving; stay under too long and you'll drown.
• Night: a day lasts 10 minutes. Sleep in a bed to skip night and set your respawn point.
• Death: you respawn — but the world keeps whatever happened. Save often from the pause menu.

Creative Mode

• Every block and item in the game, free, from the creative palette (E).
• Flight: double-tap Space to fly, Space/Shift for up/down.
• No survival pressure: hearts and hunger are off — pure building.
• Worlds are seeded: enter the same seed on the Play page to rebuild the same terrain.
